This is ManaMech's very first mod made for Doom II back in 2004. It has been tinkered with since then. This mod was desinged for multi-player, but you can run it in single-player and battle the monsters that were placed in it. There are two bases on either end of the map to fight for.

The UAC science ship H.M.S Explorer is orbiting earth, Demons from Mars Base have come through the on board teleport, and killed everyone on board the H.M.S Explorer, the ship is on aux power and will shut down very soon. You are a marine sent from Mars to stop the Monsters from reaching earth. "Kill the Cyberdemon and get out of there!" are your orders, find the escape pod as the ship will soon shut down and crash into the Moon. This is my first decent map that i have made, this is alot better than Zombie Attack: Episode 1 as played by pieceofpiesoftware on You Tube. I will remember to keep a backup of the .WAD so i don't loose it, Megaupload was shut down and i lost Zombie Attack as the map wasn't on my PC after i uploaded it. Hope you enjoy this map as i put alot of work into it, i had to make a whole new map as the previous one got corrupted or something.

Even the Cyberdemons were cake when I had a ton of ammo and the rocket launcher and the plasma gun to beat them with. That, coupled with a wide open area where avoiding their rockets was way too easy, they were defeated in short order. So, if you are a moderately good player, you might be amused by this map but you won't find it particularly challenging... Lesser players may find this a challenge but the overabundance of weapons/ammo might prove me wrong.

Well, let me begin with the good. First, the map is gorgeous. The author uses the abilities of the Legacy port to full advantage to render a wonderful 3d environment that makes the battles all that much more interesting because the attack can be coming from anywhere. Also, lighting is quite nice. And, for the most part, gameplay is excellent, if a little linear. The battles are tough at times and something is continually getting sprung on you but as he says in the text file, you can duck and shoot. It's all good.
